I’m starting to get impatient, waiting for this game to be released is like a slow death! I need a new GT in my life! Prologue was amazing, but it was just a teaser and it’s made me even more hungry for GT5. This new trailer shows off some of the new aspects featured in GT5: Damage, Nascar, WCR etc. Also the graphics look real…when I say real, I  mean real!

This game looks nuts! Hideki Kamiya, the creator of Devil May Cry, is directing this new beauty and he’s obviously living up to his reputation! The game has crazy combat and I’m liking the main character…Hideki also thought it would be appropriate to flash some boob and arse shots of the new heroin, why not eh?! Oh yeh, by the way the game runs at 60fps! With these graphics, the game is going to look too much!

You know what, this looks like it’s going to be one of my most all time favourites next to Devil May Cry. I can’t believe how amazing this game looks!

Remember that amazing trailer for the next Team Ico game, Project Trico? An updated trailer has been released at E3 and the game is now officially called the Last Guardian. I cannot wait to get my hands on this game, Team Ico never fail to impress and I doubt they ever will. Another reason why you need a PS3!

Square are pumping out the Final Fantasy’s! We’ve got XIII coming to PS3 and 360, Versus XIII coming to PS3 and now XIV coming to PS3; which is an MMO and MMO’s take a lot of work to maintain.

Now I’ve dabbled in the world of MMO’s and at the moment, World of Warcraft is the most popular MMO ever. However before the popularity of WoW destroyed every MMO in sight, Final Fantasy XI was at the top. I’m excited to see where Square are going to go with this, especially considering they already have experience in the field and are still adding expansions to FFXI which was released about 7years ago! Now when your still addding content to a 7year old game you know your commited! So hopefully the same will happen with this new iteration to the MMO genre.

God of War is easily one of the reasons you should have a PS2, now Sony just gave you one to have a PS3. No need to say more, just watch. The first video is a stage demo where the gameplay is cut short, it carries on in the next; So watch both!

Theres been so much content from E3, it’s hard to keep up witht he posts! But your going to see a lot of posts regarding said content in the next few days. Now I liked Assasin’s Creed 1, it was a bit repetitive but the enviroments and exploration made it interesting. They seem to be keeping the same formula with 2 but addding a lot more flexibility to the gameplay and it looks sick!

Sony have done a pretty good job keeping thier new PSP Go! behind closed doors, and that was until …yesterday. Here are the leaked images and information about the PSP Go!

Well looking at it straight up, it looks kinda chunky funky, which is more of a nintendo thing? It’s abit too smooth and round, not really a design I would expect from Sony with their PSP. But it has much more qualities than what first meets the eye.

This isn’t a replacement for the PSP 3000, but it’s a whole new product. Both will be available on the market. The PSP Go! as its name suggests, doesn’t take UMD discs, everything is digital, and you purchase games for the PS Store and it allows you to merge games with your PS3, taking your gaming with you. The 3.8 inch display allows you to see more on-screen with all controls hidden until you slide it up. its 43% lighter than the PSP 3000 (which was a hell of a heavy hand-held console!), 16gb on board flash memory, memory stick micro slot and PS Network and PS3 support. Looking good then!

I haven’t seen a piece of media covering this game since E3 2006 I swear! Microsoft has held this game tight but they’ve finally come with a live demo at their conference at E3 today. Guess MS want to come strong this E3 and with the brand new MGS title in development for the 360; MS’s conference was very, very strong. Let’s hope Sony has a similar conference when it comes to games! Noone gives a crap about how many titles you’ve sold or how many consoles you’ve sold, I want games!

This is basically Microsoft’s answer to the Wii’s motion sensing. I know the trailer is over cheesy but watch it. It looks like theres some interesting things you can do with this thing…No idea how it works though and I doubt it will be this responsive, but we’ll see.

Kojima announced at the Microsoft E3 conference that a new Metal Gear title was “in development” for the 360! There’s no Snake in this game, only Raiden. There’s still an hour and 13 minutes left on Kojima’s site however…Hopefully this announcement will be something to do with the PS3!

Shock horror… the countdown has expired with yet another countdown. But has Hideo has revealed that yes, it is Metal Gear Solid 5? Check the pictures below which include a new letter P along with a familiar face… Solid Snake or Big Boss? Hummmm. The countdown continues and i will pretend i wont check back in four days when i know i will. Motherfucka!

Hideo you bastard  

I love how only Hideo Kojima can get away with posting nothing except more time to look at and a few more letters. This aint cyrstal maze mother fucker! You better pull it out the bag or we coming for you.

Not sure if its days or hours as the sites frozen but its either 199 hours (hopefully not days lol) which means around 8 days to another announcement? Who knows but we will keep a close eye. 

Team Ico are the beloved creators of 2 games which give you a reason to have a PS2. The first being Ico and the second being Shadow of the Colossus. Now if you haven’t heard of either of these games, I suggest searching up on them…Although they are a bit hard to get hold of now, it’s still worth trying. Project Trico seems to be their new IP for PS3, this is footage which was leaked today…Well I say “leaked” but how incompetent does a company have to be to leak footage by accident. Anyway from what’s shown in this bit of footage, the game looks absolutely amazing; obviously keeping in mind that the game is being developed by Team Ico.

5 days ago I posted an announcment on Kojima teasing a new game with this website. The site’s now changed (well it changed on Monday, I know I’m a bit late, but exams are a killer), the site now displays a timer which reads 31hours. There’s also a 5 which flashes when thunder strikes (In MGS text). Now it could be a teaser for Metal Gear 5, but isn’t that a bit too obvious? Especially considering Kojima is notorious for misleading fans (thinking of the Metal Gear iPhone game, when the logo clearly looked like a 360 port. click here to see ). Anyway guess we have to wait for 30 hours to see what it is! Hopefully he actually reveals something…Sneaky bitch.

Kojima’s been teasing the fans with this picture in Famitsu magazine and there’s been a lot of speculation to what it could mean: Snake’s head is in the clouds, Raiden is going to take over Snake in the next MGS, MGS4 360 announcement, Zone of the Enders 3 etc. Make sure you check here on the 18th of May or Egothieves to see what Kojima’s teaser means! I wouldn’t be surprised if it were a new Metal Gear, although I would love to see something new from Kojima (Or Zone of the Enders 3!). Check back to Egothieves on the 18th!

Do you remember Naughty Dog? I do! They developed what was to be the Playstation Mascot for the PS1 Era: Crash Bandicoot. With the failures of Crash moving over to the PS2, I think Naughty Dog came to their senses when they began developing Uncharted exclusively for the PS3. Now the time has come for Uncharted 2, with the addition of multiplayer and co-op (sounds like I’m advertising it ha). Now I’m usually against singleplayer games being destroyed by a mulitplayer or co-op add-on (Resi 5 for example), but after watching 2 videos, this game looks like the shit!! Watch to see for yourself.

The first couple hours of Bioshock were shockingly good! (See what I did there) But once the novelty of wondering around an under water city, filled with crazy arse people who have an urge to dispose of you; the game became the same old, same old. You turn a corner and it feels like you’ve been there before, which is a bit worrying considering the second game is also set in the same place but a different time…however you actually play as a big daddy! (click for those who don’t know what that is). Anyway the video’s quite long, but tis a good watch.

Generic comes to mind when looking at early media coverage of Sucker Punch’s new exclusive game for the PS3: InFamous. However the old coverage doesn’t compare to this new trailer, please…please watch it!

The developers, Sucker Punch, have released the best trailers I’ve seen for a game in a long time! This trailer introduces the city and how you get about it. The story is pretty generic from what I’ve gathered: Basically there’s an explosion in Empire City (the trailer also shows how the city has evolved after the explosion) and this dude called Cole, wakes up and has the power to manipulate electricity; but he also loses his memory (Very cliche I know…ohwell). So I guess your trying to find out how and why he has these powers. Game should be droppin’ this summer…hopefully!
