This is one of my fav mix series we have on EgoThieves. All the DJs are hand picked and we don’t just take any old mix. This is the third installment bought to you by another Rinse FM star DJ Score Five. Funky House, Grime and Bassline. This is a 30 min stomper of riddems! No track list on this one but trust me its bad and i know its nothing on what he can really do.

The good news is Score Five will be back for more. We have a new and for now the last series in our mix line up named ‘Axiomatic’ which is going to be a UK filled pile of Funky House, Fresh Grime and pinch of Bassline to keep you up-to date on the latest from subversive Britain. It will be once a month mix and of course expect the same high levels you already get from the rest of our line ups.

I told you all i would do one for the summer and thank god its actually sunny for a change. The last MDMA got a HUGE response and lots of love. Emails from DJ’s, Producers and fans insisting and rushing i do another one, so here it is.

Ego Thieves is really picking up at a lightspeed pace! I get more and more emails everyday telling us how much they love our content, wish we did more and can we post up this and that. We are very fussy who we expose on our site as it comes with our seal of approval.

But yest DJ Cable emailed me this mix which is definatly Ego Thieves material and worthy a million times over.

If you don’t know about Cable he was one of the 2008 DMC UK Team Champions (Bionic Stylus, which by the way we did most the official DMC pics ) and the Alize Remixed 2008 Champion just to name a few. This is the second in this series of mixes entitled ‘The Mash Down’ which is just that… a mash of anything goes (just how we like it) genres and tunes mixed in true DMC fashion. Electro, UK Funky, Balti House (<3), Dubstep, Grime & more. Including new and old and tunes you most likely haven’t heard before its definatly a mix to grab.

We will be hassling Cable for an exclusive mix and expect lots more to come from many big DMC DJ’s when the heats start in a few months. As of course, they all know about Ego Thieving as they do it on a daily baises.

Another new podcast series but unlike the rest this will not be a monthly, but more a when ever the weather and when ever i have time. Though the response already is crazy and it isn’t even out yet lol (big up those secret societys who know) so maybe it will be a monthly who knows. Kanye West to appear in new Family Guy spin off show ‘The Cleveland Show‘. Now if you didn’t already know of the shows forthcoming series, then shame on your mug but check it out by clicking the picture thur <<<<. But confirmation has come through that Kaneyzee himself will have a featured part in the show as ‘MC Kenny West’. Not sure how often he will appear in the show or what his character is like (hoping its not your average Hip Hop stereo type) but we do know Kanye is a huge fan of Family Guy and has recorded all his lines already. Watch this space kids (and non kids who like me adore Seth ).

In other news one of my current favs still (even if people think he is over saturated) Kid Cudi is going to or has quit the music game. He has said in his blog that he is tired of  ” THE DRAMA THAT COMES WITH IT IS MORE OVERWHELMING THAN THE SHIT I WAS DEALING WIT WHEN I WAS PISS POOR BROKE.” Now we hope he has just had a really bad day and he sees that he has only just started and is a very talented dude. But big up’s to him as he wishes to concentrate on his acting career (not that the trouble is any less than the music industry no?) and claims he will finish his debut album with Chip. What ever you do Mr Cudi, good luck.

And last but not least with a big sigh and a huge ‘finally’ said loud. The Performing Rights Society (or PRS) have announced today that live performances in the UK are now worth more than album/music sales. That means for people like us, if your actually talented and you make worth while music and not manufactured crap the majors have washed over us to for many years. You can actually make a nice living without even selling any music. So why not do the right thing, make music free or subscription based (as I’ve been saying so for years!) and get your arses on stage and show the world why we should listen and pay to go see your music live in the shiny, glamorous flesh.
